One of the groups that we have supported over the past few years, has been the ‘Other Side of the Door’ (OSD). OSD is a small group of women of various ages who meet a few times a year to celebrate and record the community in which they live – Northfield. This Spring one of the members, Kathryn Steventon, asked that they take photographs around local parks and make these into a calendar which could then be sold to raise money for a cancer charity. Everyone agreed and they started to meet and take the photographs but unfortunately before the calendar was completed, Kathryn became ill and she passed away in August. However, the group continued to work together so that the calendar was produced and sold in memory of Kathryn with a total of £300 going to St Mary’s Hospice, Birmingham.
